Deeana Deal is a passionate advocate and avid researcher with a background in Social Services, addictions, and the criminal legal system. As a law student at the University of Ottawa and single mother to a wonderful teenager, Deeana is contributing to the PTP by applying her expertise and legal research at both grassroots and academic levels with the aim to amplify the voices of some of the most marginalized, institutionalized, criminalized, and resonsibilized populations. Everyone deserves their voice to be heard.
