In order to learn about carceral transparency, we listen to people who have experience with and are affected by incarceration
A primary goal of the Prison Transparency Project is to gather data related to carceral transparency over the course of the seven-year research project. These data will be the bulk of the research we use to draw conclusions; to understand and compare systems of carceral transparency. In order to determine which data to collect and from whom, we rely guidance from our partners. With their direction, the PTP is developing a series of surveys and interview guides that will be used hundreds of times throughout the project.
