Elena Algaba is a political scientist from the Complutense University of Madrid and holds a master's degree in Criminology, Criminal Policy and Criminal Law Sociology from the University of Barcelona. She collaborates with the Observatori del Sistema Penali els Drets Humans (OSPDH) at the University of Barcelona and works as a Research Assistant at the Prison Transparency Project at Carleton University (Canada). Her research interests are the intersections between poverty, residential exclusion and incarceration.
