About

Danica Nardi-Lamadeleine (she/her) is a Masters student in the Law and Legal Studies Department at Carleton University. She obtained her BA in Law with a Concentration in Human Rights and Transnational Law, along with a Minor in Women and Gender Studies at Carleton in 2021. Her current graduate research is approached from an academic-activist perspective, and involves a critical analysis of the criminal legal system and how it responds to sexual violence. Danica’s primary interests include matters related to criminal and constitutional law, abolition, transformative justice and anti-carceral feminism. She has been a part of the Prison Transparency Project (PTP) since 2021, and has written and helped draft PTP reports, prepared court documents, managed international partnership meetings and other events.
